Full Moon In Gemini- Brace For Madness: The November 19-25 Astrolocast

Totally unrelated to this upcoming week, however I’ve now sat in front of my computer screen for some time today and accomplished absolutely nothing. Maybe I can blame the Moon and Mars conjunction in Pisces, or the fact that I ran out of cigarettes today and decided I wasn’t buying anymore (I will need a knee replacement in the near future, so this was needed regardless and besides my overall health will thank me) and I am already at the level of wanting to rip my hair out, or hey, I’m looking over at you Mercury newly but once again retrograde. Either way, I’m about as useful as the G in lasagna right now. Let’s hope I change that.

Monday, November 19

We find our minds are moving at a rapid pace in terms of thought processes but remember, Mercury is retrograde so we need to be mindful of acting on impulsivity. The energy is overall high but that doesn’t always mean cheery. Where it can be if we can find an effective way for us to channel the energy for ourselves individually through civil, grounded but mentally stimulating discussions; a lot of people may be found pumped up and ready to fight.

We also have to be aware of the tendency to hit the ground running due to the high energies… but remember- it’s Monday. The week just started, so you certainly don’t want to exhaust yourself with burn-out this early (or ever, really). This could stem from feelings of personal insecurities cropping up, most infamously “I’m not good enough so I need to overcompensate to death”. Quit beating yourself up and take this as an opportunity to realize and continue to work on releasing expectations and perfectionism.

Tuesday, November 20th

The downside of things going actually well and without much struggle is actually complacency and even a lack of gratitude. We could find ourselves avoiding what will help us grow, inadvertently for comfort’s sake. It is vital to acknowledge how far you’ve come in your life and celebrate the things you have overcome. On this day, Venus opposes the Moon and so disputes in relationships about love, money, and everything in between in regards to a core desire: reassurance, is really the actual issue at hand no matter what the actual topic of the fight is about.

We need to be careful not to fall into a trap of self-pity as moodiness is in the air, spreading like the flu. This irritability can turn into aggressive acts if not addressed and acknowledged. To add insult to injury, don’t be shocked if majority of those around you would actually prefer to feel like crap and sit in their pity-pot. It’s just that type of brooding and sulking energy.

If you look at the greater picture of it all, we are being triggered by things in our lives in order to make vital changes and grow. The Moon conjuncts Uranus in the evening in ballsy Aries of all signs, which actually speeds up the process of eliminating people, places and things that are no longer helpful in our lives and, in fact, hinder our growth. On that note though, avoid acting on impulsive thoughts. I know it sounds like a contradiction but this isn’t the time to take it about yourself to do the eliminating. These detrimental things are actually going to remove themselves somehow, you’ll see it and believe it. That life lesson “experience is the best and only teacher” will crop up and reinforce it all.

Wednesday, November 21st

We start this day feeling comfortable expressing ourselves emotionally and passionately as well as being a good shoulder for others to lean on. Not only that, we feel driven to accomplish tasks on our personal to-do lists and are being granted the energetic capacity to do so. We are able to tap into a sense of maturity within us, taking accountability and getting a grip with the dreaded “adulting”… it doesn’t feel so overwhelming to us right now.

This could change however because as the day progresses, the more tense we feel as we have a difficult time relaxing, resting, and taking a break from said tasks. As a result we may feel some oppression or restriction on ourselves which may be real or imagined. There is a potential here to misinterpret and misunderstand others, causing disagreements and disputes. Try to keep as calm and grounded as you can in these situations.

Thursday, November 22nd

In the early hours of the morning, the Sun enters Sagittarius which shifts our focus to embracing curiosity, desiring mental and physical journeys, topics of discussion surrounding philosophical theories, freedom, independence, optimism, and having an open mind. We have the opportunity in the morning to again glance at how far we’ve come in our lives with emotional satisfaction of our inner knowledge as well as our initiatives to improve our lives.

The potential for boundaries can be pressed today… also, this is a great opportunity to realize your worth and how somebody gets to treat you. Stand your ground, even if you are feeling vulnerable and sensitive.

The tune changes right before the Moon ingresses into Gemini, when the Taurus Moon forms a sextile with Chiron in Pisces. We’ll be flooded with a happy type of nostalgia, remembering the good memories of our childhoods and feeling sentimental. We want to share these beautiful memories with others and spark discussions about “the good old days”.

Friday, November 23rd

Gross.

I have always personally felt disgusted by black Friday for multiple reasons. Greed (corporate and otherwise), violence over material objects, never really being a fan of the Christmas season even as a child… but anyway, it just so happens that the Full Moon in Gemini hits exact on this day at 12:39AM. And because of the likelihood of violence over fucking televisions or whatever else truly vapid bullshit, a particular body part to shield and protect? Your eyes. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I’m actually not very shocked that this particular Full Moon’s energy is well, volatile. It’s only fitting on the day that people willingly beat the living crap out of one another with no remorse. Logic and rationality are your friends on this day… you will need them more than anything else. It’ll be pretty easy to feel overwhelm and complete exhaustion entirely. The key is to find positive ways to release pent up fears, anger, stressors, and other unpleasant feelings that are triggered this week as a result of this Full Moon. Suppressing how you feel isn’t a good coping mechanism, at all, unless you aim to prolong feeling unhappy.

It’ll be easy to fly off of the handle and lose tempers even due to minor irritations. We are very emotionally reactive and need to avoid impulsivity. What we need to do is face what makes us feel inferior, or scared, or threatened by anybody else head-on and with tact. Now is the worst time to run away or attempt to flee our problems.

Saturday, November 24th

A sense of clarity will wash over us this weekend as Neptune stations direct in Pisces Saturday night. When a retrograde planet stations direct, the planet and said energies get a bit confused and don’t immediately stabilize. To add insult to injury, Neptune is the planet of… confusion. Be gentle with yourself whatever you do, we’re in this together.

We may feel old wounds become dragged up to the surface in order for more self-elevation and work to be done. Luckily, we feel a bit of reprieve from the previous day’s bullshit and are able to take this on without a second thought. We are warriors in our own healing. In turn, we can even improve the relationships we have in our lives with others.

(Saturday’s aspects: Gemini Moon quincunx Pluto in Capricorn, Gemini Moon trine Venus in Libra, Neptune stations direct at 8:08PM EST, Gemini Moon square Chiron in Pisces)

Sunday, November 25th

We can find our moods still fluctuating as a by-product of Full Moon hangover and it’s difficult to relax. It’s hard to find relief for this irritability and what we truly want is a sense of harmony, as well as control over ourselves and our lives. We need to trust our gut instincts and stop engaging in soul disrespect. Be assertive about expressing your needs.  It also will be good to share the love you are so badly craving because it will be returned to you.
